Cheapest method of sending a parcel of over 2kg via signed for / tracked?

    Banned
I have a package to send out and as I'm not too experienced with shipping out I normally use Royal Mail for everything, however, they want about £12-13 which seems like rather a steep fee.

The size of the box isn't really that big, one that would pass for Royal Mail's £2.80 / £3.90 so the issue really is on the over 2kg matter.

    Use parcelforce with unidays code.

I use myhermes a lot. Not personally ever had a problem.
Takes a day or two longer to arrive than royal mail but I like them.

    Tried parcel2go? Online quote available.

That website has great low prices. Say, the 2-Day Delivery with £20 protection - is it tracked/signed for?

Hermes has the offer for £3.95 and the item that I'm sending was sold for over £40 but if it's tracked then there's nothing to really worry about, I think.

Out of interest can these codes only be used with Parcel Force?
