cheapest network to pac code to from EE

Please help thanks , every year i take out a new EE sim only and get an alternative network sim to port to and then back to Ee so I can keep my same number and still get my cash back , however last year it cost me £15 to do this process via Giff gaff which is expensive (don't ask) is there a cheaper way , I'm sure you have to have credit in order to do this so what is the smallest you can top up and to which network thankyou for helpful input.

Thnaks for your reply , I once bought off eBay for 99p but then was told in order to activate I had to top up minimum £10

I want to do this also, so you have to leave EE(Get PAC from them for new network) first before you go get a EE sim only cashback deal correct ? thx

Yup, that's right. Pac out, then back in again.

A lot of the networks are getting wise to this and requiring a topup before they'll issue a PAC.

Delight Mobile allow just a £5 topup so thats a potentially cheap option.
Last time I bought a 99p Vodafone sim with £5 credit.
Rinsed the credit through Neteller and moved the number back to o2 where I started.

    Great il do that thanks

just get any simcard for free of Interent say vectone or lebara or lycamobile then transfer it for free no need top up. port the number of and ring customer service from another phone if they have started charging for calls to customer services use to be free. u can do it for free that way giff gaff is redicilous u need top up before using it with most networks u don't need top up or register the sim card either unless maybe u want port ur number over. if u can't wait then go to a phone shop and pay 50p of a simcard or pound land for 1 quid.

I've just done this for my Dad on a 99p Three 321 SIM without topping up. They're available from any supermarket. I got mine from Tesco.

I tried on 3 and virgin.. Both pac was done for free few months back.. Recently did with vodafone on live chat free of charge.. EE o2 and other lyca lebara just avoid them.

Ok i orderd the lebara from eBay 99p with £1 credit , and my new contract from mobilesphonesdirect on EE , so when my lebara sim arrives I call them with my port away code wait for that to work then ask for a PAC code and wait couple days then port back to EE with my original number and all done . Is that right

Yes first ring ee get the pac code off them u can do this know pac code is valid for 30 days I believe. if u were going pay would have been better go to pound land or home bargains u would have got a sim there and then never.mind u will have to wait for it know. then ring lebara customer service think they charge 10p so at lest u got the credit u can use. after its transferred over ring them and get the pac code off them and then give it back to ee.

Ok nice , I know it's a pain moving around but I'm getting in the end £6.50 a month after cash back instead of £17.99, so for me it's worth the hassle once a year

Hi I'm in the process of changing but on the page on Ee where it says transfer your number it asks for the temp number ? But is that the lebara sim on the new sim from my new Ee contract ?

no its the ee number they've given u I believe as it says , Temporary number - A temporary number is the number provided to you when you joined EE, T-Mobile or Orange SIM. u have already transferred the original number to lebara I take it and are in final stage to transfer back is that correct

Correct it as only a 19p call and would port in 24 hours so I kept my old sim in until it says no service then put new sim in and switch back within another couple of days .

It's gone wrong , my number has ported to lebara which is ok however the SAME number is still showing on my iPhone in the old sim so I have two phones with the same number on two SIM cards which shouldn't be possible should it ? It should say inactive sim or something , so in my eyes I could be paying for two sim contracts , I may contact Ee to see what's going on

not really its in middle of being transferred so u will get this its normal u will have trouble making some calls or sending receiving calls for maybe 1- 2 days then the other sim should go off usually around midday this happens. u will be billed from the network u call not both
