Rock band has far better stock peripherals imo, Id try stay away from buying the GH ones, as they are of lesser quality, I had two guitar hero drum sets both of which broke fairly rapidly, and also had to be mended often due to poor wiring, HMV usually have an offer on Beatles RB for about 60quid I think it is with all the peripherals not sure if its on any more but ringing a local store and enquiring would be your best bet, even if you dont like the Beatles, it lets you get all the kit for a cheap enough price then you can trade it in and buy games that you would find more appealing be it GH or RB

Cool thanks so if i bought the rock band beatles one i could buy guitar hero game and play on that?

You certainly can, the only difference is that the drums that come with the standard rock band have 4 drum pads, but if you get guitar hero world tour it has 3 pads and 2 cymbals, so 5 things to hit as oppose to the 4 on rockband, but guitar hero automatically recognises that you have rockband drums so will display the game with 4 drum pads so it plays fine. Thats the cheap way to do things, and the best idea for beginners imo, but the new rock band 3 is out now which I believe has 6 cymbals and pro mode so is alot different to the old peripherals but still we be compatible but will also be less challenging, best price I can see after a very quick look to buy it online direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx
