You will probably need some hardware such as a TV capture card with either RCA (red, white, yellow) or HDMI (not sure if they exist). Use the software that comes with it to record the video. It may be delayed though, it was when I used to record this way using on the PS2. You can probably get a capture card with RCA input for about 15 quid second hand.

I used a Kworld USB adapter which has the 3 RCA cable connection.

My xbox came with the big video adapter on one side to connect to the xbox, and the other side all the others, like yellow, green, blue etc. Just take the yellow one, and connect it to the KWorld one and that Kworld adapter goes into your PC after you've installed its drivers.

Use a program like Virtualdub to capture it, or use the software that comes with the kworld.

There is HD capture cards out there...wouldnt know where to begin in terms of whats good and whats not.

I've been looking at the Hauppage HD-PVR. Mean piece of kit!

As far as cheap is concerned go for an Easycap DC 60+ (The + is important as it means it can record PAL 50 and 60) and a bunch of splitters.

Means you can only play and record in SD though.

It depends on what hardware you have already.

eg if you already have a home dvd recorder with dvd/rw etc, scart in or rca composite in then you have what you need already. 360 standard def cable to dvd recorder input either via the rca in yellow/red/white or use the scart block *into dvd recorder) then another scart from recorder(TV scart on back there are normally 2 on dvd recorder) to tv, switch input on dvd recorder/ TV to view the recording program to view 360/recording in progress

DC60+ and RCA splitters would set you back about 15-20 notes. HD-PVR (for hi def recording) would be about £180

If you have a camcorder, you could try this:

seeing as the lowest note you can get is a 5 that would mean, it costs about 75-100 pounds
