it's 21kg
50cm/20cm/20cm when boxed.
and needs to be insured for £1700

anyone know the best option?

Have a look at Parcelforce to get some idea. I've given you a link to the online "price a delivery" option.

And below is the link to the main site. You can get your parcel picked up from home which is good.

payperdrop route. £5.99~£6.99 up to 30KG. Sorry no time to search for you, but there are several reputable companies doing this (most of them use DHL Express) and you can find info on threads on this site. Or type in "parcel delivery" in eBay for £6.64 prices, next day delivery.

EDIIT: Sorry, noticed the insurance issue. Therefore, ignore my post. Theses pay-per-drop only offer £100 usually....

I normally use www.p4d.co.uk but they only offer insurance up to £1000 for an extra £20.

Are you sure of the value of this? I suppose if you have a top-end processor in a big SLI setup with gigs of memory and multiple hard disks then you could get to that price.

Go through Quidco to Interparcel- it'll compare price across the board and you'll get quidco for your booking- register with them and you'll get a 5% discount

Check parcelfusion.com/.

It cost me £30 to send a heavy pushchair to France.
