Cheapest way to take child to cinema?

What is the cheapest way to take a child to the cinema? I want to see a current film and not one of the saturday/sunday morning non current cheapie films. Are there any offers - are some cinemas cheaper then others? Thanks

    Walking?

send them in on their own and wait for them outside.

Get them to stand on your shoulders, then wear a really long trenchcoat, so that you look like one tall person. You can pretend you are Peter Crouch and might even get in for free!

    Leave said child with granny/grandad/dad?

    whilst ur still pregnant.

oh this is a funny thread - particularly like the trenchcoat post.

The idea is to take my daughter not to leave her at home. Just want to work out cheapest way to go - wondered if Orange Wednesday was the best way if going as one adult and child - coud go to Lakeside Thurrock, Romford, Picketts Lock (Edmonton), Enfield, Hatfield Galleria and woudl like to see ice age - think the 2d version as she is a bit young for 3d

you could get together with another parent and child in the queue and pretend you are a "family"

I take mine to kids clubs on sat and sunday mornings. tickets are a couple of quid

unfortunately the films are about 6 weeks out of date, but much cheaper

I'd imagine that Orange Wednesdays is your best bet.

and definetely take your own goodies they are extortioante in our local cinema 2.40 for a fruit shoot !!

i used to do that most sundays, kids went free and it was £2 for adults. took our own snacks for a great cheap day out. Once saw The Goonies which was absolutely amazing on the big screen!
