This was mentioned in BBC Show Rip Off Britain.

From the Site:
We share lots of information about ourselves online: email addresses, date of birth, even bank details. But who is seeing this information and what are they doing with it? In the wrong hands, your details can be used to steal your identity, your money, even your good credit rating.
Welcome to Has My Identity Been Stolen, where it’s easy and free to see whether your identity has been stolen, and how much information is in the wrong hands. We’ll search the deepest parts of the Dark Web to see if your details are up for sale. If they are, we’ll show you the steps you can take to prevent becoming a victim of identity fraud again.

Yes give "Has My Identity Been Stolen" all your details, passwords, bank details etc & these guys will help you out oO

Only use real dob sparingly. All shopping dob's and name can be uniquely generated (except for credit card payment). One would be daft to give a real dob on any web sites as many of these are just one man band IT shop or outsourced to an agency IT support.

It was mentioned in "BBC Show Rip Off Britain" and their CEO Darren Innes was in the show and so it should be secure. Also you can just check if your email is safe and not use other details.
Anyway looks like it is busy now.

Saw the show this morning & I was just about to post this so thanks for saving many people the problems of ID theft.

What information do they ask for?

All good anti fraud advice.

Has anybody got this to work? I'm still waiting for a validation code.

This sort of response is typical of the average punter today. There could be 100 million reasons for, but the one reason against is held up as "proof". We saw it all through the Brexit campaign, we saw it in the General Election campaigns prior, we've seen it continually throughout the reporting of climate change and it's correlation with CO2 produced. You see it whenever someone mentions cycling / immigration / PC etc.

It seems fact and balance go out of the window nowadays to be replaced by polar opposite views of equal extremity. Moral Outrage and Indignation are the new black so to speak

Rather dull, very unhelpful, and frankly a little bit dumb.

AND IF YOU DON'T AGREE, YOUR (sic) A .............etc

tell you what you go ahead and send all your information to this website because Gloria Hunniford and co say it's OK .....personally I would not trust anything from the BBC.
the site comes up with a 404 error by the way very professional!!!!!

Site has been taken down. It shows error 404 = The site you were looking for couldn't be found.

Site sounds dodgy. Will avoid.

I requested today and it came instantly.

Post code search finds 6 records, but doesn't list them? Where do you see the results?

Same here. Cannot see the point in this post code search at all. So if you see high numbers what are you supposed to do...move house?

I didn't put my email address in because I couldn't find anywhere on their website, any statements assuring me of confidentiality. I looked at the T&C's & the FAQ's, but nowhere did it state that they wouldn't use your email for marketing purposes etc. You would think that there would be a prominent statement somewhere assuring you that your email address you supply will be kept safe & never disclosed etc. but there isn't.

Considering what this website is all about, it's a very serious ommision!

What a great way to get information........really!
You are all on your way to ID theft........
