"Check your local sorting office"

Found 27th Nov 2008
I ordered something from Debenhams on the 16th that's still not arrived, I tried to check it's status online but unless I am missing something when logged into my account there is no way to look at your orders?

So I sent an email and after waiting 4 days for a response this is what they said:

Thank you for your email.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to your query.

I am sorry to hear that you have not yet received your order. Please check to see if your local sorting office is holding the parcel for you, as I would expect it to be delivered by now.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me in future.

Kind Regards,

Is it me or is that a really lame response? Aside from the fact I don't think it should be me chasing it up...I don't have a clue how to chase something up at the sorting office without either a tracking number or one of the cards they put through when you miss a delivery.

Do I just phone up and ask if they have any thing there in my name? Or do I tell Debenhams to stfu and chase it up themselves?

the second one!!
My stuff from superdrug has not arrived yet and it is supposed to have been dispatched ages ago..i was thinking of emailing them and seeing what they had to say. I half expect a response like yours.
My local sorting office have a two week delay for parcel delivery and it is getting longer with the Christmas period. Typical charge more pay less , even the mail is being delivered after 15:00
