Check your Tesco's receipts!

Not sure if this is the right forum, but is certainly a miscellaneous ranting!

Make sure you check your Tesco bills carefully when you do your shopping, over the last four weeks I have found duplicate entries on the bill for items I haven't had, it seems I have been double charged for individual items.

I am not big on conspiracy theories, but for it to happen each week for the last four weeks it is getting a bit too much, admittedly is is not for very big value items, the total over the last four weeks probably only adds up to around a fiver.

BUT!!! If it happens to many other people this helps out the big T's profits no end, (stuffs up their stock control though !)

So guys how many of you actually read through your receipt when you get home, not may I bet, go on have a look, hopefully all will be well but if it is not COMPLAIN!

That use to happen to me in London for a while. Also where special offers had sold out they would re-stack the shelf with very similiar products which arn't on special offer giving the impression that they were.

Lots of shops are bad at that Withey. My Somerfield do it all the time!

It's true with every shop though... make sure you check your receipts, especially if you are buying reduced or specila offer items!

If you find a mispriced or duplicate item, Tesco's will give you a refund AND let you keep the item for free. It's always worth quickly checking your receipts before you leave the store, I've often found mistakes.

I've never been able to fault Tesco. ASDA are pretty good too. Somerfield often do things wrong and Morrisons always scan reduced items at full price because the little sticker doesn't cover the old barcode properly.

At my local Somerfield they don't program the reducing machines right, so if an item is on an offer where you get money knowcked off if you buy two or three then it scans at the reduced price and lets you have the discount it originally had. I might tell them one day.

I remember doing this about 2 years ago with a pair of jeans that should have been £45 and were reduced to £30. When i checked the receipt, i found that they'd put them through at £45. So they gave me my money back and i got to keep the jeans for nothing.

I wonder if that would work with a mispriced LCD TV

That's probably less of a conspiracy, and more of a suggestion that the till operators in your store are effectively orangutans.
