Ok so I aint allowed chucks. However I liked the look of the Eglu range but thought them too dear, then saw this version and thought of this storage box from lidl

speak to DLM think she keeps/kept Chickens before

If I was starting from scratch again I wouldnt go with a purpose built coop I would just get a standard 6x4 shed for them, very little work would need doing, namely:

Pop hole built in door, very easy all it would need is a thin piece of wood and guides for it to slide in.

Nesting boxes, a lot of keepers use the plastic mushroom trays on a bench and lined with bedding.

Drill a line of small holes just below roofline on each side for ventilation.

And probably gloss the floor and first 2-3 feet of walls with any old gloss (make it easier to wash down).

A run is easy enough to build from timber and wire mesh, or building site security panels are about £20 each plus a tenner delivery and are very fox proof. I made a mistake of buying a coop with attached run but cleaning the run was a nightmare due to the size but now they have the coop in a corner of the garden all fenced off with a large run that is covered and I can stand up in!

I've kept chickens I have had the purpose built chicken hut but to be honest I would agree with Harlzter with the 6x4 shed X)

i have a purpose built house i got off ebay for about £40, but a shed or something similar would be great

just put the microwave in the garden with plug still in socket...let see when they are in at night

If you have a frosts garden centre near you they do chickens and coops now

Where is DLM these days? She would have some good advice for you.
