Its really important to have it fitted to your car, Halfords and Mothercare will usually try them in your car for you to find the best fit. I usually get them to find the best fit seat and then go buy it somewhere else that is cheaper. Someone mentioned that which did a report on the best seats which may be worth you looking at before buying.

I agree with kidcat, we had 3 or 4 car seats we really liked and had found them cheap on the internet, the OH went to Mothercare to make sure they fitted in our car ok and NONE of them did! Use Mothercare or Halfords to find out which one fits your car then you can hunt for the best price!!

these seats came out really badly in the crash tests, i would buy a proper seat and then a booster in a few years time

If you've got a baby of 9 months it's preferable that you get a seat that reclines so when it falls asleep its head doesn't loll forward.
