Child car seat belt extension... does anyone know if they exist???

    Hi Guys

I need to know if you can purchase a child car seat belt extension. It is a group 2 I believe so the type where they sit in the seat and the belt comes over the shoulders and in between the legs and across the lap.

My car seat has really short belts and it feels as though they have cut the belt too short, as when I do it up my daughter is pinned to the seat. The only way to avoid this is to take her coat off which in cold weather is unrealistic.

It is getting to the point where I have to struggle for ages to get it done up and wondered if they do an extension for these seats (rather than buy a whole new seat). My Mum has a seat for her (which was at least half the price!) and it has loads of room to spare...

Any help would be appreciated and repped :-)

    Thanks

I know this will sound silly if you have looked, is there an adjustment right at the back, perhaps hidden by the cover? If not contact the manufacturer and explain the problem as they should give enough room for a big coat, large nappy etc. I once contacted a seat manufacturer to suggest a wheeled frame for the newborn car seat they had just developed, they sent me loads of freebies and the following year the first 3 in one buggy, frame and carseat was marketed. It was 25 years ago now but big manufacturers like to get feedback and ideas on how to improve their design, there is no better testers than mum and baby.

Thank you but this is for the actual car seat belt - I want one for the child care seat itself :-)

    I think I will contact them - it's such a simple idea but I can't find it anywhere :-(

Oh and yeah I have extended it - it won't come out anymore - it's just that the belt is not long enough :-(

    Thank you :-)
