I paid £99 for my open water PADI certification, which included all the swimming pool training, 2 open water dives and diving license after passing. Mind you, the dives were in a lake in Maidstone one January, with snow on the ground and dry suits warn (temp was just over freezing). The only proof of life I saw was a wrecked Mini that was hiding in the lake! I can't say that was much fun!

Best £99 spent ever! Had so many great dives in the Caribbean, Mexico and Oz on the strength of it.

Sounds like a good idea if the kids are up for it.

I want to do a Padi, just keep thinking it would be nice to do it outside the uk, have dove before, just tend to do structured dives, might just take the plunge (no pun intended) Nd just do it in the uk

I want to do a Padi

I know someone on this forum who has padi's all the time! X)

I think its a great unusual idea, especially if your DD loves stuff like that but may be a bit risky if some children she invites can't swim/are scared of water? x

I did think of that as well tbh but i since its only 10 kids allowed we would cherry pick the 10 that can swim, and since she is in cubs (not a girly girl !!) most of her pals are boys !
