Nope not at all, what you could do is order from Australian site to get delivered.

I've sent chocolates to Australia before, never had a problem. But I have heard of some people that it may be prohibited

We've family in Oz and often want to send pralines as we live in Belgium. After a couple of disasters we found a great place in Sydney, Van Der Wee, who produce really nice stuff and deliver all over Oz. You can Google them.

thanks, i have sent from australian site before but i have got some bday gift to send from here so i thought i could send choc/drink too along with it. atleast i can see what i send!

Also a lot of couriers won't insure glass bottles, if it gets smashed in transit there is nothing you can do. As a company we sent out 8 bottles of very expensive champagne to customers in the UK and only 3 made it in one piece, they chuck stuff on and off vans regardless of content. (they were bubble wrapped till they could bounce too!!)

its fine....just mark confectionery on the customs declaration. it may be opened by customs but providing it hasnt been tampered with it should get here.

your main problem would be melting.
