Just had my 9 year old daughters Christmas gift delivered by a very well known on-line store (not sure if I'm allowed to say them by name them but it ends in on) who allowed her to sign for it and then handed her the box showing her in full colour detail what was inside.

Took a second but right first time:thumbsup:

The fault lies not with the store but the couriers, mind you having a moan at the store may produce some recompence

oh no,

i had a smiller thing with a shop/online store :whistling: where i had picked a delivery spot for 10 till 2 when my son would be at school, well at 7am we got a phone call to say they were 20mins away well needless to say my son saw the 10ft trampoline and encloser being delivered :x

why was your 9 year old allowed to answer the door to a stranger?

Over the moon, shouting mum weve just had an electric scooter delivered. Left me then trying very quickly to think on my feet, told her it was a great offer Id seen so had got it to put away for her birthday in Feb. What I should have said was it is obviously a mistake we will have to send it back. She then told her brother who hit the roof because he'd always wanted one and up until that point, that is what they both would have recieved this Christmas.

Oh dear!!! I had to titter lol, can't really hide a ten foot trampoline. Though in the past I have lied and said.. " Oh look what next door have bought, the delivery man wants us to hold it for them...."

and amazingly got away with it!!

The naivety of kiddies eh.......

Hard to believe but she still believes in Santa, so for it to show up Christmas morning might have given the game away.

Could maybe order 2 in a different colour for Christmas after all how would Santa know she had a purple one boxed in the garage. Might contact the company in question and see if they will accept it back in January.

Not hard to believe at all, my 12 yr old still believes in Santa too x

( and fairies..... and the easter bunny! No really she does!! )

It may have something to do with me making fairy circles and leaving "evidence" of magic around for her to ooohh..." find!" lol

Had a good moan on the phone but didn't make me feel any better or produce any recompence so sent them a long e-mail also. Will wait and see if they respond.
Would imagine the delivery man was rushed with extra parcels etc and didnt give it a second thought.

We had the same thing happen last week. Bought Beatles Rock Band from Game for our lads for Chrimbo, arrived in a massive brown box (hooray) with Xbox 360 Rock Band Bundle plastered all over the outside (boo).

What did they say and how did you get out of it ?

I'm confuddled, why can't you say the name?

Bad news though

thats great!!!
You know i was a little upset this week as my nephew whos 9, i asked him what he was asking father xmas for and he said he's not even real. His mum had told my brother he's old enough to know the truth now so she had told him he's not real. I think that is so wrong, he more than anyone would of beliveed for alot longer yet as thats the kind of child he is.
Good job i didn't say in front of my 6 or 3 year old :? i would of been soooooooooo peed off if he had said that in front of them!

I think she has spoilt it :x

If it's Amazon they have two tiers of customer service - the basic CSA who answer emails have sod all authority, and might offer you a fiver.
The executive customer relations department however has alot more power - "][email protected]
If that email doesn't work try [email protected] or [email protected] both of which are different managers within the same department.
Hopefully one of them can apologise at the very least.

"old enough to know the truth"

Surely when they're old enough they'll have worked it out for themselves

My kids tend to work it out and figure out that its a game they can play to their maximum benefit even my eldest goes along with it :giggle:
