Christmas - What HAVE you spent? - NO FIGHTING! :)

Well?

I've spent £120 on 4 people (Mum, Dad, 2 Brothers)

Most of that was on the North Face misprice at Blacks. Got dad a Sat Nav (CDiscount - split 3 ways between brothers), Gift sets, DVD's etc.

Think i've done good this year.

I'm saving all my money for a good time for me on new years to buy "plants" and drink. I know, a true christmas giver, that everyone should look up to

because we're all very much ashamed of how much we've blown already lol!

But how much, is too much? :p:whistling:

£800 of high street vouchers and approx £600 cash. Not all in one go though, the cash i spent has been over the past 4 months just picking things up and ordering online.
Thats between my 3 kids, my hubby, neice, 2 nephews, mum, dad, sis, bro in law, 2 nanna's, 1 grandad, little cus, big cus, auntie, 2 uncles, 2 friends, friends 2 kids........ including all christmas cards.

Thank god for park! those high street vouchers are a life saver

Spent around £400 for parents, daughter and boyfriend

mine seems to go up each year £50 each on mum and dad £30 each on 2 nieces and 2 nephews £30 each on sister and her husband about £60 on 5 craft swaps and about £10 on the pets
so thats about £350 but will spend more I always do

For 13 people we have spent £1289 x

never really thought about it tbh-got the kids what they asked for and have also booked a week at disney over new year which they dont know about yet-will keep that surprise for christmas day-christmas is a time for NOT counting the pennies.

ive spend 300 on 17 people

Who cares what others have spent? These threads always end in … Who cares what others have spent? These threads always end in kerfuffles.Depends on what your opinion is on what is too much or too little, and what your budget is.I couldn't give a fig what others have spent and I really have no interest. I only have/want to buy for my 2 kids, mum, dad and brother. I don't have a lot to spend and won't spend a lot, my kids get more than enough, maybe not as much as others do, but they never complain, they don't ask for much either and even if they did, they get what I can afford, one main present and a few other things, stocking full of party bag style toys and sweets (ie cheap tat), end of.If you have a family /circle of friends to spend Xmas day with, enjoy it for what it is, a get together on an otherwise very boring day, lol.Different for me, 'cos my daughter has her birthday on Xmas day, so there's an extra special twist to it, but I remember my previous Xmas days before I had kids, a good meal, plenty of drink and good company more than compensated for any gifts bought or not bought.Don't get me wrong it's great to receive gifts, and if you have the money great to give them, but at the end of the day, does it matter how much you spend?I think not, most people I know go out and get rat-assed on Boxing Day anyway, lol, so any presents given are forgotten about anyway.Enjoy the day for what it is, friendship, companionship, and if you're religious, well you know what I mean.........................BTW I'm hoping to leave my parents house before 6pm on Xmas Day, if all goes to plan, we will arrive at 1pm, have dinner, swap said presents, have games and fun, eat birthday cake, leave before 6pm and back home for Doctor Who!!! Nice!!!!!
