hi is there a difference between a chromebook & a net book,my son says there is,but i dont know if he is having me on,as there both little & cute thanks

he wants it to put train numbers on it,when he is on a train,(he has a ipad so not to sure why he wants this) to be truthful,then just general browsing on internet when he hi out

A Netbook is basically a fully functional PC although much smaller and generally will have lower specs than a full size laptop, it will also have a familiar operating system such as Windows 7/8.

A Chromebook is totally different. It uses Chrome OS which is basically a Google Chrome browser, thus rely's on an internet connection to work.

For mobile use I would recommend a Netbook for your son, if you get him a Chromebook you will find that it is very limited when he's out and about (although perfectly functional when connected to wifi).
