Was waiting on a delivery from last week from the co-op electrical deal, rang up to ask why it was a couple of days late and was told that the Co-op had closed all its electrical sales and support side of the business, aparently some deliveries are running a bit late as some suppliers think that they have gone skint and will not pay their bills, which afaik is not the case!!

co-operative.coop/co-…ure

Anyone else had any issues with orders being late or anything that you can add to ease the pain of anyone waiting for news on refunds etc etc

All very odd, puzzling as they made a shed load in the last 2 qtr's of 2018 out of it and did well in q1 of 2019 and now dumped it all, wonder if it was more to do with suppliers as opposed to the actual framework at the coop to flog it all!

They are certainly not making 22.5% on a pint of milk in the stores, so all very weird to stop just like that, might look into it a bit more when get some library time!!
Think it is Co-operatives E-Store Limited that has actually ceased. Some other more informed peeps may know.
Regulator FCA seems to have some time travel machine and indicates COESL most recent 53wk return dated 06 Jan 2018 (showing turnover of £64mil?) was filed the previous year. Maybe FCA could have used same time travel machine to predict COESL cessation?

Thanks for the info AR, seems something is a bit odd, as its the last year of the co-op bank master group plan ownership for a lot of co-op things, so wonder if, like the bank 3 years ago, they are regrouping the debts and moving to another new LLC or LLP setup again!
So what happens with the warranty of my sony XF90?
Thanks for the heads up, never ordered from there before but was tempted. With the poor amount of advertising of the store, not surprised.

If you had the standard Sony warranty, its direct contact now with the coop (phone line still live) for the 12 months, since purchase, if that fails, direct with Sony, via registering it on their site, if you have the extended warranty, it will be with whomever they had the 3rd party agreement with for the extra years

Welcome J, as said, would not have even known, if not chased the late delivery of an item from last week!

Coop group still retains the consumer obligations for 5+ years, but doubt the merchant ever offered a warranty (unless offered via a 3rd party policy at additional cost, in which case the warranty policy will still be valid with the 3rd party). Any warranty from the manufacturer will not be affected, and still likely to be voluntary rather than legally enforceable.
