Compact half decent phones under £250

Trying to help someone get their first smartphone, keeping costs down and they want a "shirt pocket"phone?

Pretty tricky I know- I've been looking, and want something that will last them. What is cheap, small but not awful?

Ideally 5.45" screen 18:9 ratio I'd say

@MrSwitch can you work your witchy magic on this one, might be the ultimate challenge

Redmi 7a would be number 1 choice probably, or even the 6a.

Then followed by cheap alcatel, LG phones, decent honor phones like the 7s or 8s, Samsung A01?

Higher end maybe an honor 20, though bit bigger display then you'd like

It's a tough one eh, as you know I have a fairly good grip on phones but it's really hard to get as small as that.

I'm suggesting an iPhone SE 2016 [gag, choke, gag], with caveats about dragged into Apple eco-scam, the Redmi 7A, and the Nokia 3.1 which is getting Android 10 and might edge out the Redmi on the camera front. It's an impossible task really.
