Are they "allowed" to do this when ordering online without asking you etc

Recently found out Amazon keep details on file and now i've just bought something from M&S and found my CC details are on file with them also and i haven't bought anything from there for months!

So much CC fraud around i'd rather my details weren't kept on file.

I'd imagaine so. There are plenty of rules governing what they do with those details to protect you from fraud though.

You'd think they would warn you that they were going to 'remember' these details.

companys who have mine have said "do you want to save your details?"

Just delete them at Amazon if you want to.

As far as i'm aware Amazon don't do this and nor can M&S because i wouldn't have agreed.

I d,o but i have to delete the details each time i order,it's a pain.

This will most likely be in the terms and conditions somewhere, it is not compulsory, but they can do it.

As long as they hold them, they are liable if the details go into the wrong hands, so let them have it lol.
