    Complaint against Empire Direct???

    Can anyone give me an idea of who I can make a complaint to against Empire direct? I've exhausted the channels through their CS advisors, so I need to take this to some sort of ombudsman for internet vendors. Any advice given gratefully received.

    Are they based in England or Wales?

    What is the crux of your complaint with them?

    Bradford and trading standards is you best bet - or if you think you have a case then small claims court.

    They're based in England.
    It's a bit of a long story but basically I ordered a PS3 60gb from them online when it was supposed to be in stock for immediate despatch. They debited my card (through google checkout) £350 on 8/12 /07. After a week I contacted them & was told that one of the games for the bundle was out of stock so I opted for a slightly different bundle & was told it would definitely be delivered to me on 18/12 /07. I then took the day off to make sure I wouldn't miss the delivery but (surprise surprise) it never came. I contacted them again only to be told they didn't have any in stock at all & the order would be cancelled (leaving me no opportunity to get one from elsewhere as the 60gb version is discontinued). I was then promised the refund within 3-4 days & of course it never materialised! Contacted them today & was told they 'forgot' to refund me. It's now Xmas eve, I'm £350 out of pocket still & still unable to get any kind of replacement prezzie for the kids.

    The problem you have is that it is next to impossible to get a 60 GB model from a shop elsewhere, otherwise you are entitled to buy another and bill them for the difference.

    Any other action with regards to the refund will not be hurried by involving a 3rd party.

    THey made some mistakes...I dont know what you expect TS or anybody else to do? Seen shops do a lot worse. I know its frustrating, but you wont get anything out of it.
    Bought a TV, meant to take 2-3days delivery, but took 21days. The logistics company they use (IN TOUCH) are overrun, and useless. Only got it last week.

    They made mistakes that are avoidable. To say that the OP won't get anything out of it is not something that you know.

    Perhaps, but 90% of retailer mistakes are avoidable.
    Let us know how you get on. If you get something for that...then I will be complaining for all the mistakes made against me Wil be Xmas all over again..wahoo
