    Computer Help!

Basically, there used to be a green bar that appeared in the centre of the screen about an inch/inch and a half up when I turned the volume up and down the sound on my laptops keyboard.
    It has now dissapeared!
It is an acer aspire 5535.
Now the only thing I have done is to change some programs which I didn't want to run on start-up of the laptop (windows live messenger etc.) and must have diabled this as well.
I can't remeber what it is called or how I would get it to start working again!?

Any help much appreciated and repped.
P.S. This is not the volume icon in the toolbar!

Just a question like but do u really need the green bar, i had it on mine before i installed vista ultimate quite some time ago and it doesnt make a difference if u have it or not. Infact i find it better not being there.

My dell had a program called quickset which made a similar bar appear onscreen when I changed the vlume. I suggest just going through each start up item trying each one, seperately, until it re-appears. Or checking google, it'll be easy to find I presume.

Have you tried re-enabling the programs, one at a time, until you find out which one it is that you want running?

try loading the acer launch manager and other empowering utilities and see if it comes back.

failing that, reinstall Launch manager by going to Acer empower technology/reinstall components/contents/ then find launch manager and select.
