its windows media player, used to play music viedos etc ,should be fine, just run a scan to be sure

I would download and run malwarebytes and see if that finds anything,

    incodesolutions.com/thr…php

it would seem after a little googling this could indeed be a win32x threat....Malwarebytes, spybot, both worth scanning an trying to fix and also if cant be fixed posting a log from those progs onto their respective forums as experts will be able to help

    Acouple of ideas to consider......

Uninstall and re-down load windows media 11, its free.

If you can back date from Windows 7 to Windows Vista. Windows 7 is still too new and to many bugs still happening. Not to worry if you cant.

Get rid of Norton and install the AVG anti virus, there free version is quite good, you will also find some deals on here to get there full version at a good price. If you do this tho, be sure to unistall norton first, you cant have 2 anti virus programs running or installed at the same time.

AVG link if you decide to go this way.......

    download.cnet.com/AVG…col

Not the big yellow button, link is in blue writting with green button beside it.

    windows app its fine
