    computer warranty question

So, I bought a pc from staples last September and now there is something wrong with the dvd rewriter and the speaker socket thing. I'm wondering if you get a 1 year warranty on computers? I got a discount on it because it was the display model, would that make any difference to the warranty?

some websites have warranty checkers. on the computer there should be a sereal number. go to the website of the pcs manufacturer and find were it says warranty and services find warranty checker type in sereal number and it should tell you the time you have left on your warranty. this is what i done 2 days ago when my hard drive went faulty just try that and see if it works.

    thanks:thumbsup: i'll give it a go.

The fact that it was a display model would make no difference to the warranty unless this was specifically pointed out to you at the time of purchase.

There should certainly be some sort of warranty, if only with the store itself - I would be tempted to try with the first & see what they say.
