If they did go under what would be the implications on the table?

looks like it m8-the rules state that every result they have had becomes null and void so everyone who has beaten them gets 3 points deducted and anyone who drew with them loses one point.

Hmm that's going to be a bit annoying for some teams.

Aren't they going to go into admininstration?

The owners said yesterday they will not let the club fold.

Even if they do then come monday they can still be wound up. Liquidation is the only way the Tax man will get his money as all other creditors are then written off.

I feel sorry for the fans but the club has become a joke.If it was a dog then it would have been put out of it's misery a long time ago.

I sense that, but as Syzables said really sad for the fans.

is indeed, couldnt imagine my club going under :-(

If pompy does go under its really gonna shake up the bottom of the table

Portsmouth have some of the best fans in the country, so you gottta feel for them.

I heard yesterday on sky sports news however that they said the club would go into administration on Friday rather than dissapearing all together? or maybe i got my facts mixed up.. :?

This is hilarious. You just know that Sky News will get lots of money shots of kids in pompey scarfs and hats crying.

Wonder what will happen with regards relegation and promotion - could be a good chance to reduce the league to 18 clubs but it's more likely they'll just relegate 2 teams and promote an extra team from the Conference.

If they do end up being wound up on Monday then hopefully the fans can do a AFC Wimbledon and get another club together.

Southampton should do an exchange program - bring in an old Portsmouth shirt and get 10% off a brand new Saints shirt:whistling:

Maybe they could ground share with the new Pompey :-D

Breaking news - Premier League will help Portsmouth through the Administration process......so that looks a certainty now.

I know it's true though the maternity ward of the old hospital which they just closed looked over to fratton park, the hospital was used as parking on match days. Ahhhhhh the memories :w00t:

They're going to take them to that 'assisted suicide' clinic in Switzerland:whistling:

Actually, I'm sure we could find a vet in this country who'd do it cheaper:p

:x Thats sad to hear.

So whats the table going to look like after this and what happens in the cups?

At least they will survive now then. Hopefully.

Let's hope this acts as a wake up call to the whole of the English league.

They will be docked 10 points like Palace, that's all.

What about there points in the current league?

This is just prolonging their suffering. They're certainties to go down, they're still in debt and they'll have less tv money and gate receipts.

Nothing will happen, they will just be docked 10 for going into administration as all other teams have been.

As with all the other clubs someone is probably waiting in the wings to buy them once in administration.

Why would anyone take on their debts knowing this time next week they'll be up for grabs at a fraction of the cost.

It's the people owed money by Portsmouth i feel sorry for they will see only a fraction of what they are owed.

It's only if the courts decide to liquidate them on Monday that they'll cease to exist.

The tax man wants them placed into liquidation as they are a super creditor and would get some if not all money back whilst all other creditors get nothing and are instantly written off whereas with Administration all creditors get equal footing and they try to strike a deal to make payments to them all.

always have to lower the tone lol

end of the day i think it was inevitable that they would get relegated so they won't be too dishartened by going into administration, they will go into next season looking to rebuild and bounce back up, good luck to them. theyve stil got the fa cup to look forward to too.

9 points actually

I hope they are liquidated as that's what they deserve for cheating, the fans were happy enough to take the fa cup success even though their club basically cheated their way to win it

Funny how any club that Harry redknapp leaves always struggle afterwards , Bournmouth, Southampton, Portsmouth

can't wait for the spurs meltdown

BTW, whatever happens, I really Peter Storrie pay for it big time, the tax dodging ****

Sour grapes m8 coz the scousers aint gonna win nothing this year ? ;-)

Yep bad times over at the park atm... but we live in hope. Yes we have some of the best fans in the country and i truely feel for them all based on dodgy dealings and poor executive descisions. All these big shots coming in and flashing the cash and then using the club to do underhand dealings and tax evasion. And yes hassony it applies to the scousers as well... watch your club go downhill this season as if it hasnt already.

But like i say we all live in hope. We have had some great times lately - fa cup win and beating the team down the road a few weeks back 4-1 which we always love. But like many teams before who have gone this way we will rebuild in some way or another. Lets face it we are a small club in terms of the top teams in the premiership and have done extreamly well in the past few years. I cant stand all the peeps who support the top end teams slagging us off coz they dont know nothing about what its like to be Blue... theyre just in it for the glory and dont go to games if they dont win week after week LOL ;-) JK

What do you think of Harry Redknapp role in all of this?

no sour grapes at all btw, I just don't think clubs should be allowed to cheat in this way
