# Confused by ebay fees.

I am relatively new to ebay and can't quite seem to grasp the fees charged. For example how much would be charged for a item sold for £50 at a starting price of 99p. Please help. I am so confused...:?

Yeh im a bit put off with there fees aswell, they charge you for putting it on and tempt you with add subtitles and bold etc and then they charge you for selling it.
Sometimes i think Ebay are making such a profit from charging people.

Speak to dinostevues, he is the Ebay Guru lol

lol
they really make a lot of profit from fees

Insertion FeesStarting or Reserve Price
Insertion Fee
£0.01 - £0.99 = £0.15
£1.00 - £4.99 = £0.20
£5.00 - £14.99 = £0.35
£15.00 - £29.99 = £0.75
£30.00 - £99.99 = £1.50
£100.00 or more = £2.00
for multiple item listings in £100.00 or more tier = £3.00

Final Value FeesClosing PriceFinal Value FeeItem not sold = No Fee
£0.01 - £29.99 = 5.25% for the amount of the high bid (at the listing close for auction-style listings) up to £29.99
£30.00 - £599.99 = 5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance
Over £600.00 = 5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the initial £30.00 - £599.99 (£18.53), plus 1.75% of the remaining closing value balance

If you had the very basic listing it would cost you 15p to list (plus 15p for a gallery pic if you used one) FVF would be about £2.22 plus your listing fee. So, either £2.37 or £2.82.

Paypal fees would be 3.4% and 20p on the total amount. If the item sold for £50 in total including P&P, Paypal would charge you £1.90 in total.

That means your £50 item would incur total selling costs of £4.12 or £4.27.
