Connecting Android tablet to TV for screen mirroring

Found 8th May
Hi all. I want to buy my Mum in Law a tv as a gift.

She isn’t very tech savvy but I know she would like it if she could watch whatever is on her android tablet. I don’t know if it’s as simple as plugging a wire from tablet to tv but, from previous experience, I assume that isn’t the case.

otherwise, would a Smart TV have iPlayer, itv player, YouTube, Netflix, etc? Thank you xx

Depends some have a micro HDMI output or other output.

Again depends most will but not all.

Another solution may be a Chromecast.

chromecast would be the easiest way
I use Chrome cast as my bedroom tv isnt a smart tv works perfectlly
I know nothing about chromecast, but found this ‘easy to understand how it works page’on Argos website, basic chromecast costs £30.
Have a look at a NOW TV box, this has all the catch up services and you don't need to pay for any of the subscriptions if you don't want them
