With homeplugs, connect the router to one of them, the other can be plugged in anywhere else in the house (dependent on house wiring. Its needs to be on the same circuit) and that acts as a network socket, so you can plug the xbox into that.

what distance apart are they>?

Is the speedtouch a USB modem? (i know mine was when i has a speedtouch)

If so you need to attach it to the computer, have the computer allow access to the internet through it and run the cable from the computer to the xbox.

Not entirely sure what hardware you have, if its a speedtouch modem router you should be able to connect the xbox in to one of the lan ports and get connectivity (assuming your router is working correctly and dhcp is enabled (which it will be by default). If you arent close enough to go wired you can buy a cheap second router (not modem-router), connect the xbox to the 2nd router and then set the second router to act as a repeater bridge...
