    Connectors for LCD

What is the best way of connecting my didgbox to my Panasonic tx26lxd70?
Is SCART the best connector or should I use something else?!?

    Thanks!

agreed, scart tends to be a little fuzzy

So we think SCART is not as good as S video?

RGB isn't scart. Take the advice above

Oh dear.... A fully wired SCART cable can carry RGB signals IF the digbox (assuming SKY???) is set as such. This produces a MUCH sharper picture than composite via scart.

I'll second that - RGB Delivered through SCART is much better than SVideo.

    But ...

you have to make sure your set top box outputs RGB, and is set to do so in the menu's
and you need to make sure it is connected to an RGB capable scart on your TV, and it is set to scart in the menus (if required).

Many TVs have multiple scart sockets - but usually not all of them are capable of RGB.

    to summarise (for anaologue connections)

Composite video via SCART is basic, but not great.
    SVideo is next in quality
    RGB via SCART is next
    Component output (interlaced) is next
Component output (progressive) is top dog.

So we agree that the scart with RGB capabilities is better than SVideo and normal SCART?
Whats the best Scart capable of RGB?
    Anyone?

All you need for the cable is a fully wired SCART, so avoid the cheap ones which often don't have all the pins connected. But that's assuming your equipment supports RGB.........

The TV should.......it also has HDMI, which is a better option if your digibox supports it.

what make/model is you set top box ?

Both your TVS Scart sockets are RGB enabled so no issue at the tv end ...

So assuming you have a no-HD sky digibox, you need to go into the picture settings and set the output to RGB - providing it is connected by a fully wired SCART cable (and to be honest I'm not sure you can but any other kind these days) then you should be OK.
