Huh? So you want it to be written off? And they are refusing? I'm guessing the policy says they have 7 days to repair?

Has 7 days passed already then?

why would you want it written off if it can be repaired?

Probably so they get a new one? Possibly updated?

no policy says that if they exceed the 7 day's I can have a new 1 . I took out a premier cover .

this is too confusing at midnight on a friday after i have had a few. i am out. X)

7 working days?

yes because I took out cover that states that if it's not repaired in 7 days I can have a new 1 .

Is it 7 working days? Have they already exceeded this time period then and have you checked the terms and conditions?

Okay, I don't see their argument then. You paid for an optional service which needs to be fulfilled, it is their duty to fulfill those terms. If it states that they will offer a new replacement if the original is not fixed within 7 days, then that it what you are entitled to.

don't get fretted over it. let the engineer fix it so you have a working machine then write in to the insurer to state your claim that you are entitled to a new one. the fact that they had decided to repair your old one nonetheless does not invalidate your claim for a new one.

+1

You can still have this argument after the repair is made, if it is what you are entitled to.

I have checked policy and had it confirmed by a manager at my local currys , a write off request has been sent but apparently that takes 48 hours to be processed in the meantime time there insisting an engineer calls tomorrow .

To me, it seem your trying to play the system! I would just want a working machine and would accept whatever solution is quickest, to get me up and running!

its not playing the system I want what I payed for , if a policy says tgat if an item isn't repaired in 7 days im entitled to have a new 1 . I pay for this policy is not free , so why shouldn't I have a new 1 .

Just wait and see what happens next. They've said the write off is being processed and they want to send an engineer as well.

What more do you want right now? Let them visit and fix it and then wait for a new machine.

For once it sounds to me that curry's are trying to do the right thing in getting you a new machine AND trying to get it fixed too.

You would avoid one particular make on the strength of one breakdown? I guess you're never gonna buy a new washing machine then.
