There are many companies that provide what are effectively extended warranties on domestic appliances. Just google "Domestic Appliance insurance" and you will see companies such as Domgen(domestic and general) which is one of the biggest but not necessarily cheapest. With smaller appliances its often worth working out the cost of replacement against the policy premium and excess!....but then thats your decision. Good luck!!:thumbsup:

You should also look into the option of "white goods" being "FIT FOR PURPOSE" As I remember, these items should be serviceable for a period of 5yrs from purchase date. If a fault occurs within this period, you can usually claim a refund/replacement (not without some threatening of legal action in my experience)

Maybe someone who knows what I'm talking about can better explain my point.
