Just seems like a fast track to RSI to me. In all seriousness, tell you kids to me careful. It can be permanent.

That sucks worse then fruit ninja get your kids to play crossy road instead

Probably the worst game ever. The maker of Atari's E.T can breathe a sigh of relief. Just delete it when they aren't looking (_;)

Pass.

there's a lot of time management games like this, the clicking to get cookies part isn't really fun at all, and gets dull quickly but within the first minute of playing you should reach automation then the game becomes about resource management, and if you are playing it decently it involves a lot of math to work out if X cookie per second is worth the investment of Y amount of cookies or does a factory produce more cookies than 100 grandmas.
There are a crazy amount of modifiers you can buy in the game as well which if you are trying to play it as efficiently as possible makes the game incredibly complicated, or you can just wing it and buy things that sound good.
Eventually though you get more and more stuff and you basically build an empire and it is a similar feeling to doing so in civilization or cities skylines, only less pretty graphics and you cant really fail at cookie clicker it just takes longer to do anything, the biggest goal is to advance the game quicker than you as the player become bored of it.
It's a huge waste of time but ultimately you can say that about all video games; just because it looks simple though doesnt mean it's any less enjoyable that other video games, you can and will get similar levels of satisfaction from completing tasks within it.
I have read some interesting articles about the psychology behind the game however this was years ago now when it first came out, I think it may have been in it's beta possibly.

Hope you lot are hungry
now producing 13k cookies a second
love this sort of game any more ?

Posting an image as a reply wouldn't take a lot of math I suppose so I can't fault you there, What I was referring to would be the programming to the game and at which point buying what upgrade causes greater profit - you can get add-ons to browsers which will calculate this for you, assuming they still work as I havent looked at the game for years now, but there was a lot to compare basically when trying to work out which yields a greater profit per second vs the amount you would put into it.

Alternately you can just click whichever thing looks shiniest to you and progress the game that way but it would be slower, but hey if you hate doing math that's the way you wanna play the game.
I am sorry you took such exception to the American use of the word 'math' in future should our paths cross I will take every attempt to stick to the British standard of Maths or should time permit write the full word of "mathematics", provided that is I don't forget or particularly feel like doing so at the time.

It does, considering the file format (JPeG).

Just increase the click rate of your mouse button, or reduce the cycle count of your computer's CPU.

It sounds like our paths will cross again with an attitude like that.

no math for you personally

if you're going to go to the extent of editing your controls or computer it's much easier to just edit the code on the page to give you self an insanely large number of cookies/currency, in any case you're not really playing the game at that point.

If it amuses you, then it could be a game.

I am suing you for every cookie you have OP

The funny thing is the original guy behind the concept (Cow Clicker) did it as a social experiment / mocking of modern consumers consumption of entertainment. Literally broke down the core essence of MMOs and any kind of levelling mechanic (in shooters, etc) to its most basic form. And yet it still took off, with people buying useless add-ons for it.

So, if you don't get it, congratulations. You are yet to be afflicted with the curse.
