Cornwall/ Devon Weeks holiday..what to do?

Hi all.
Having never been to Cornwall have booked a last minute country cottage for next week. I can't wait to visit and have a proper cornish cream tea etc, but what would you suggest as the best places to visit/ see/ do?

Where are the main towns/ is there a city in Cornwall?

Where are the main supermarkets?

Any help you can offer would be great! Many thanks.

Cornwall is pretty big!! Where ( what region/town) have you booked to stay?

there are some of the most amazing beaches there, woolacombe is brilliant but then again, i dont suppose this is the right time of year for a beach holiday:whistling:

and its damned wet and windy here right now
hope ya have a nice break

I suppose the city of cornwall is truro, been here 12 years and only ever gone there once, its a city! lol
newquay/penzance/st ives are all REAL nice places, st michaels mount gr8 place, but not sure Id want to holiday here in winter

A must visit is the Eden Project, edenproject.com/vis…php

The county town is the city of Truro, all the normal supermarkets etc are there, along with many local shops.

The Newlyn Christmas lights should be on now, they are normally very good

yes eden very nice this time of year with lights and ice rink, plymouth is looking gr8 too at night, l8 night shopping on thursdays, santas ice castle for the kids

Mevagissy (spelling?) is a gorgeous little fishing village. Tiny little streets etc etc..

st michaels mount is nice, see penzance too, maybe goto lands end, newquay zoo is good, beware of the seaguls tho:w00t:
