Cost effective recommendations for posting shoes

Would appreciate recommendations for most cost effective postage method for a pair of shoes in a box.

I normally use RM when posting small items but wondered if there is a cheaper option for something bigger.

Cheers.

Hermes maybe not too sure if you want insurance though
Usually a pair of shoes in a box will come in as a small parcel at the Post Office, £3 to send by 2nd Class, £4 by 2nd Class Signed For.
Yeah I presume they are under 2KG, so I would go with Royal Mail Small Parcel for 2.90 if you pay online.
I think its 45 X 35 x 16.

RM are a lot better than Hermes if the weight is under 2KG. (in my view)
I've shipped shoes a few times and are often £2.90 second class. I'd says that's quite reasonable
Thanks to everyone - appreciate you taking the time to answer.

Hope the transaction goes smoothly - it's a new eBay user with zero feedback!
