# Cost per can

Posted 14th Dec 2019
hi please can someone figure this out for me please.

18 cans of strongbow times 8 equals 144 cans. Cost £55.00 so divide 144 by 55 should give me the cost per can?

So i get 2.61 is that 26p per can?

26p times 144 cans should come back to £55, but it doesn't, i get £37?

how many cans did you drink before you did the calculation

It’s 38.19 pence a can with my counting ! Hope that helps
£55.00/144=0.381944444444444
approx 38p per can
It’s 55 divided by 144 which is .3819. So 38p a can.

It’s 55 / 144 not 144 / 55
Total cost / quality = unit cost

Unit cost x quantity = total cost

Maybe the strongbow is starting to rot your brain
55x100 =5500....pennies in a pound
5500 divided by 144 = 38p per can

You are right it was 26p per can but due to rise in value of pound, it went to 37p. Well done, now you should invest in forex.
2.61 is the number of cans you get per £1.
Not a good deal if the cans are very small
lol, i don't even understand the question!
Thanks everyone. My problem was i hadn't had a drink while trying to work it out. 🍻 cheers everyone. Merry Christmas 🎅🍻

I've got a new job helping a one-armed typist to do capital letters.
It's shift work.
