It's where I went for my first holiday abroad with my kids, We went to Pineda De Mar and it was ok, Make sure you go to Barcelona if you can.

Food was quite cheap when we went.

We all had a great time, We went on a glass bottom boat when we went which was fun, It took us to Tossa de Mar stopping at various places along the way.

We went early May and temps averaged from 20-25 oc which is ideal for kids and a comfortable tempature.
I went to Callela,we travelled everywhere on the trains...good fun and cheap(then)2001.
Yep, Forgot to mention the little train that goe's around, Kids loved that.
i went on a 18-30 holiday there about 7 years. So i would try to keep the kids in at night you might be ok in April tho.
We went bout 3 years ago was lovely everything was cheap (then!) was blisteringly hot when we went- it was that weeks when the tarmac melted in this country

there was a good mix when we were there it was a very new resort at the time tho would defo go again! it was one of them random holidays you just book 2 days notice kinda thing bliss left the kids at home ha ha ha
Been going to the same place (L'Estartit) in Costa Brava for 29 years (that's all my life lol) so if your asking me - it's fantastic. Although I tend to go in July/August or for Christmas. It's completely different out of season, quiet and not a lot open but it all depends on what you want. Wheather can be unpretictable, not particularly warm in April as far as I know (Mum and Dad go 5 or 6 times a year out of season)
Thanks for the tips guys
