Could somebody PLEASE help me find the correct plug adapter I need? I'm going crazy!

Basically I bought a little mini mist maker/humidifier from eBay for my upcoming crab aquarium I'm trying to set up! It said it didn't come with an adapter, bit I figured it would be easy enough to find. I was wrong! I've literally been searching for the past few hours and haven't a clue if what I'm looking at is right.
Basically all the listing state is that it needs a 24v ac adapter (with no mention of mAh). But then do things like mAh matter? as they all vary for each adapter I find.

eBay item no: 270614899724 - This seems to be what I need, but I'm not too keen on having something shipped from Asia/getting a US/Asia to UK adapter

Ebay item no: 160459655981 - This ones in the UK... 24a, but it has a 250mAh, does that matter?

I'm no expert but I would say voltage must be right, adapter size must be right (although could be changed) and it needs to be able to supply enough current (A). I think mAh is referring to batteries, I would expect it to say A or mA (amps, milliamps) rather than hours (h) as an adapter would keep on going forever whereas a battery lasts for a certain number of hours at a certain power usage.

Forgive me if i'm wrong but I think all you need is THIS

Don't get that! You need one that can do 1.2A!!

Jesus, this thing needs the same power as a laptop battery!? It's … Jesus, this thing needs the same power as a laptop battery!? It's tiny!Isn't 1200mA (which is on the adapter that's shipped with the mist maker) the same at 1.2A?

Does it have to make heat/remove heat? Things that change heat take alot of power.

Just because the adapter is capable of it doesn't mean it'll be using it. It might never go near that, or it might only use that amount at peak. (or it could use that all the time!).

    And yes, 1.2A = 1200mA.

    simple really

    three options..

    1. is the power lead hard wired into teh power brick? If no then one of these 390217000479

    2. if its hard wired and you feel confident just cut the euro two pin plug off and fit a UK 3 pin plug.

    3. If 2 does not fill you with confidence then one of these - 190346047310

Says its a AC-DC adapter, looks like an AC-AC is needed so no good...

elitom - sounds like they don't have the AC-AC power brick (as shown in picture) at all...

My bad, didn't see it was ac - ac needed! Sorry. Said I wasn't an expert!

I've now paid £16 in total now for mine (I went for the transformer from Hong Kong, and a UK travel adapter). I just wish I'd seen this sooner :(Thanks the replies guys.EDIT: Just realised the £2.49 one is just for the replacement ceramic disc and the tool to open it. The mist maker + Adapter is £19.99...phew!
