Hello all....Can someone clarify...When holidays are granted by your line manager, is the onus on them to arrange for the cover or the employees.
This is a well known national company although i'd rather not say which one...

Yes you are an employee. It's not your responsibility to organise your cover unless you are in a senior position.

ask for a copy of your company hand book of policies. You are an employee so it is not your job to find cover for your anual leave!

My Son works for a national cleaning company and is asked every time he has a holiday if he is able to get a friend or family member to cover. He doesn't so mostly the building won't be cleaned at all.
