THIS THREAD WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED AS OF 00:01 ON TUESDAY 24TH MARCH.

THE MAJORITY OF RETAIL STORES WILL NOW BE CLOSED AS THE UK IS IN LOCKDOWN.

FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE SEE HERE.

** UPDATE **

As of Friday 20th March 2020, the UK government has called for all bars, clubs, restaurants, cafes, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres to close with immediate effect.

Other stores (e.g. supermarkets) should be open, but may have restrictions. Please check with your local store.

The below list highlights some of the closed establishments. Most should be closed by Saturday 21st March.

**UPDATE: ALL UK SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED FROM FRIDAY. ONLY CHILDREN OF KEYWORKERS ARE PERMITTED IN SCHOOLS**

**UPDATE: DRIVING THEORY AND PRACTICAL TESTS ARE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED. PLEASE CHECK ADVICE HERE**

****

With a bit of extra time on most of our hands, I thought it would be handy to compile a list of store closures (and alterations) as well as major events that have been cancelled.

Many of the stores that have temporarily closed physical locations remain open online. Please check with each retailer for more information.

If there are any additional store alterations and event cancellations that are not in the OP, please post in the comments below (with source) and I shall add them.

Quicker listing events that are still going ahead at this rate!
Selfridges will be closing from 7pm tonight for how long I don’t know sorry. Debenhams are reducing hours to close stores at 5pm. Build a bear is closed as well.
British Boxing Board has suspended all boxing too.
Might want to add that Premiership Rugby and every level below has been suspended.
All club motor racing (cars, karts and bikes) suspended until end of April.

John Lewis cafes and resturaunts will close on Friday, at least in our local.
This is going to be a long list. Surely it would be easier and more practical to list any events that are not cancelled.

That’ll be an even longer list
** UPDATE **

I have updated the OP to ensure each list is clearer to read and understand, by adding categories of retail stores.

When commenting with a store that isn't in the list, please add a link to the source so it is easier to find for me!
What about other supermarkets ?
