    credit card chargeback

    I am being led up the garden path with Amazon.
    I bought a watch from Amazon warehouse but it wasnt as described so I returned it. My tracked delivery shows it delivered 22nd December.
    I have sent and received lots of emails about the refund, at first they just kept saying under their policy it now can take upto 3 weeks for a refund. I was then offered a refund in the email but still havent received it despite showing them proof of delivery and the fact they said they would refund me, I still havent received it and am wondering if contacting my credit card company to get involved and do a chargeback as it wasnt as described.

    Anyone know the process of a chargeback.

    Use there online chat, always get a good result from them. Had a simlar issue and got refunded within minuets.

    The Live Chat won't help. Call them up and sort it on the phone. The Live Chat almost always goes to an investigation now before refunding. I had a similar issue and calling up and they had it sorted in 3 minutes.

    As above, give them a call and you should get it sorted.

    I've said it before but Amazon customer service has gone downhill.

    Ive been a loyal customer for 14 years. Spent 10's of £1000's. I loved their service which is why I would use them 99.99% of the time but not after this.

    If you contact your credit card company they will do a chargeback . I had a similar problem a month ago and got it sorted by my credit card company

    It is based upon my opinion, however I believe if you were to put up a thread dedicated to the question many people would actually agree with me in that they have gone downhill, this is also reconfirmed by many comments I've recently read on this site.

    Went on chat and so far its looking promising as Ive received email confirmation of refund, though I did before and still didnt get it but this time I now have the chat transcript and email to give to the credit card company if I dont receive it.

    Finally received a refund today . 22 days wait in total.
