Just had an email o join a programme hough my credit card, it all loooks genuine and from a genuine email and yet they want me to input my account number to join, surely this is pretty bad practise

i have emailed them, but all the other offers i have had have come fom the same email address, but there also on the website, this one is by invite only, but from same email

My CC company put my whole 16digit number and sort codes on my cheques...

Just 3 digits stopping them for being majorly dumb.

dont do it never give your account details unless u r 100 % sure

I seem to remember we registered for something that sounds similar a few years ago, do you give them all the details so that if you have your purse stole you call one number and they can cancel them all for you? Or something like that.

nothng lke that, its an offer where you choose 8 shops and if you purchase from all 8 shops within th 2 monhs you get £30 put onto your account, like i said it has come from the same email address as all the others, but have emailed them because if this is genuine it is bad practise

Ok it could be genuine, in which case they would already know your account number & just checking that you are the account holder. But yes it would seem very bad practice & I would still be very weary of complating anything.

i wont be fillig in anything, and have made i clear in my emailif it is genuine it is very bad practise on their part and needs looking into

Had a replback and it is a genuine offer but have responded and asked them to reconsider asking members to fill in card details via an email link, it isnt on their site as it is exclusive to certain members
