Not televised, but you get to play through the maze.

You can even watch other people play from the bar afterwards.

__________________________________________________

Want to try you hand at the maze? If we an get a HUKD team together, we can go cheaper.

A team of 8 brings the ticket price down to £37.50, instead of the single price of £45. Or the final price of £50 + booking fee.

If we can get 4 teams of 8 (32) people, we get the whole maze to ourselves and the ticket price comes down to £31.25!

Any takers?

the sandcastle in blackpool had something similar years ago...
I used to love watching crystal maze. I'd love to try it. Probably fail miserably but would have loads of fun trying
Would love to have a go. It is quite expensive though - £45 for 1hr 45mins + travel to London.

If I had known about it before, then would have got the early bird tickets.

Yes, I know. Of the sites I mentioned, it was the last to close.
HUKD outing maybe? (inb4 fp makes "outing" joke :p)

Where do I sign
I loved the Crystal Maze as a teen I always wanted to be on the programme-minus the dodgy track suits though

Would love to try this

Just to be clear - it later transpired that it is, in fact, me who she has the crush on.

This is where I found the information out from originally. I was lurking around in some shady part of the internet and this popped up in my feed:

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/06/10/the-crystal-maze-comeback-london_n_7550804.html

In my excitement, I over looked that the show was no returning. I bounced on over to their webpage:

the-crystal-maze.com/ [The text has now changed. It didn't say anything about buying tickets, it said something like 'want to experience the maze, register your interest now'.]

Edit: ahhh still had the tab open

http://s30.postimg.org/sk8rvqphd/crystal_maze.jpg

and registered my interest before I even finished reading the article.

What it actually says is "Sadly, it is currently unclear if any of the event will be televised".

Yesterday I was e-mailed a link to the Indie Go Go page, which didn't work. With a message saying it would be live at midnight.

So when it did go live it took me a while to work out wtf they were on about to be honest.

I still think it's pretty awesome, I would love to give it a go!

I haven't preregistered yet, for three reasons. I don't anyone bonkers enough to want to come with me, since all the early bird tickets were sold in the first few minutes, you're only saving a fiver and the booking fee by paying now. errr.. there was a third reason, but I've forgotten it. I will come back to it.

It says that four teams go round at once. It says each team has their own maze master, so that must mean it can't be Richard O'Brien taking you round. That doesn't really surprise me! I am sure that would be too much work for a 73 year old to lead people round the maze day in and day out. But I can't help wondering what they are like.

I am also wondering what part Richard O'Brien plays in this. As he really made the show. It was never the same with Ed Tudor-Pole. He wasn't horrible, but it was just meh.

He must play some part, as he part of the costs pie chart:

http://res.cloudinary.com/indiegogo-media-prod-cld/image/upload/c_limit,w_620/v1433260784/wpuyl8fuhnwvcwfjicoq.jpg

Marketing? Being at the party? I dunno

I've never heard of any of the other ones you guys have mentioned before. They kind of sound like pale imitations if this one is done right. Am I wrong?

It's also kind of weird to think you are playing for no prize. What happens once you collect all the tokens at the end?

I agree with you Eden0032, it is quite expensive and travelling to London is always an issue (and a large expense) for me too.

However I can't think of much else I would rather do for £50. I can imagine the set will cost cots to make and staff. There must be people running around resetting all the puzzles as you go round.

Anyway... yeah... would love to give it a try sometime Would be like childhood dream

Have way through the article... the first clip is fantastic X)

So the original maze cost £250,000 in the 90s. This one is supposed to cost £10k. That's a slight worry... how can they compare?
