CS/Techy Help: When Buying A New Laptop (From Comet)..........

Found 16th Oct 2008
should you receive some sort of backup/restore/re-installation software for the O/System?

Just opened the box and manuals are there, but no CD's?

i be on fifa sunday night at 9 :-D

Have a look in the documentation, it should tell you how to create a recovery CD from the files on the hard drive.

Companies used to give you the official Microsoft Windows CD but Microsoft found that people were just using that to install it on other computers, so they stopped allowing companies to give you the official Windows CD.

But there should be some method of recovering Windows if it crashes, or if you buy a new larger hard disk.

As has been stated, you may be able to phone up Fujitsu and buy a recovery CD for £5 or so.
