Currys are known for Ripping customers off

Do not fall for the up selling trick they have been drilled on up selling this includes the Direct Debit sign up for free cover they say you can cancel it when you get home but you can not until after the first payment of £6 has been taken out. So do not fall for any cons these guys have gone all USA with their up selling and rinsing every customer who walks in.

that's the understatement of the year... horrendous company ethics

God awful company

My local Curry's PC World had an Item my friend wanted that was OOS for ages, finally had one in stock, reserved and I went to pick it up for him due to his work hours and location. She opened the cuboard behind the counter it was in and there was a stack of about 20, just not on the shop floor. She then proceeded to try and sell me a SIM though it came with one.

What! You mean to say the £99 HDMI cable with Kryptonite coating isn't worth it??

Also, i tried to purchase a cheap laptop for work from them and after scanning it through the checkout a chap came over and said if a come back in an hour they will have it all set up for me. I declined and said i would do it myself. He said they couldn't sell it to me as I had to let them set up a back up usb (which i would have to pay for if i didn't have my own with me) so that if i had any problems i would be able to restore it myself rather than brining it back. Again i declined and said i would be reformatting the drive and installing a custom work OS on it anyway, he stood his ground, so i walked out. They are atrocious and still think its the early 90's where everyone is naive to computer tech and that they can pull a fast one on us all. Will never shop there again.

If you don't blag massive discount from Curry's for buying the cover (then cancelling it later), you're doing it wrong.

Thanks for that. Was going to buy a laptop from them but reading this I will shop elsewhere.

If they are known for ripping people off then why did you sign up to it in the first place?

(But yes, they don't have a clue and i'm amazed people still use them)

Like I said the Item was OOS after he ordered it and OOS on the shop floor. It was also OOS for home delivery and had been for ages.
