In case people haven't heard, currys have started theor own auction site just like comet auctions. Some bargains could be had - currysauction.co.uk

This has been going for years. Used to be called "Comet Clearance" though. Yet I've never seen a bargain on there

oh I was only aware of the comet one. Was the old currys one an auction too?

i mean most of the tv's etc sell for more than their RRP!!!

No Currys never did auctions before, but by the looks of it it's pretty much the same as comet

i wouldnt bother with this we had so much trouble with these. bought a tumble dryer about 50 pound off the store price as it had what said " a dint in the side" we regularly visit clearence and ex display places as most of it is okay.

So took delivery it made a horrific loud grinding noise, it had its dint which was okay it had 2 legs missing and had been dropped as alot of the under neath was cracked...after 2 failed collections on currys part (didnt even bother turning up the first time and ringing the wrong door the second) had a letter threatening further action if we didnt return it...yet they just wouldnt turn up to collect it hardly our fault. so it was collected but all in all just over a month of hassle.
