as per the title do you think this is a good deal? they are unlocked? and what do you think of there 12 month warranty.

seems pretty decent, wasn't that nearly £800 on launch? Saying that I think the s8 will be a much better phone and will be released soon but that will likely be £800 so...

Much better in terms of spec maybe but arguably the S7 already is. The appeal of the Pixel isn't the sum of its parts, and on that basis I wouldn't say it will be 'much better' as such. I already know I'd rather have a Pixel than an S8 and I haven't even seen the S8

That's surprising, in terms of hardware, the S8 will no doubt be better.

I don't like Samsung's software on the whole, I don't want a curved screen like on the Edge again as It was impossible to buy nice screen protectors for, I like the unlimited free storage you get with the Pixel for life, I like the promise of constant, timely updates and I like the option of fast, fixed internal storage of a high capacity instead of being forced to make do with 32GB and a card slot - which for me is a compromise and not ideal

I haven't got a Pixel but it's the Android I would get if I were investing in a premium handset, though I understand some people love Samsung devices - they're just not my cup of tea.

The Google Pixel XL is not as good as it has been made out to be. I had one for about 3 months, just got rid of it back to my service provider. They are plagued with problems, especially dropping calls and in my case, internet DNS errors. Speaker is shoddy too. When the phone works it's amazing, but unfortunately I had more calls drop than calls terminated.

Service providers acknowlege the reports of problems, Google seem to know nothing. As much as I would like to recommend this phone, I can't!
