Hi guys

I have a ikea wardrobe that I want to setup as a home server cabinet. The shelves etc and layout are really good for me.

But there’s only one issues, and that’s getting power cables in from the back. It’s got a nailed down hardboard a typical wardrobe back panel, really thin. It’s like plywood hardboard.

The hole I need is 5-6cm in diameter I mean it could be square!

Problem is I’m scared to use any electric tool, because it’s nailed down and I don’t want it to become dislodged as it’ll ruin it. Shall I just use a really sharp knife and carve out a square or rectangle big enough to fit a 3pin plug or so? Or can anyone recommend anything else?

Maybe a hole from the edge instead of a more central region?
