    bunch of thieving W******

I saw this offer on here for a free tooth whitening kit from them, it would only cost £1.50 by post, I stupidly ordered one, and they charged me £7 for the delivery, and then tried to charge me £36.50 for the item (even though I called them to cancel it straight away), and now they seem to be charging my account between £4-7 every month, even changing their name!

luckily i called my credit card straight away and they refunded me the money, and now they seem to be keeping an eye on the wierd transactions and giving me a refund

shouldn't there be a swear filter to filter out swear words?

If you credit card is currently giving you refunds on strange transactions, now is the time to go out and buy strange things.

Aw, I really hate it when that sort of thing happens. It takes, what, two minutes to google a company's name to see how other people got on with them, and ten more to read the T&Cs. How will people ever learn to take responsibility for their own actions if their credit card companies bail them out like that?

I read the T&Cs, and they didn't specify that they will continue to rob me after I closed the account with them, thats why the credit card company is "bailing me out"

Bet you didn't google it, though. If you had done, you probably would've seen from the first page of results what they're like. Consider it a lesson. You really need to research companies in future. You just can't trust internet stores by default.

So 'Google' everything then... And there's your answer... Simple??

    AS IF!!!

Honestly - and there we all are looking for 'Deals' on this and other similar sites.... And along comes a 'benefit of hindsight' comment......
    Classic.

Well, yeah. It'd be stupid not to do any research on a website that you're about to give your credit card details to. Only takes a couple of minutes, so it's not as if it takes much time.

Anyway, case in point, there was a deal posted for CX400 earphones earlier for only £12, down from about £35 as is the usual market price. I was going to buy three sets, one for me, and one each for a couple of my friends that listen to their earphones at savagely high levels. I spent two minutes researching it, concluded that they were very likely to be fakes, and saved myself a ball-ache. Difficult, hindsight? No, just rational thinking. I don't see the problem you guys have with it.

But do you do that when you go to the Petrol Station as well?

Lots of CC fraud comes from petrol station employees.

That's the whole idea of protection on them to serve you when needed.

We would have to 'Google' the Petrol Station 1st!! Also, Googel to Shopping Car Park Ticket Machines that debit your card with no Pin number 1st - Major discepancies and Fraud are reported via these...

Of course, if Google DOESN'T say it - well then it MUST be OK!
    What about Jeeves?
Oh - apparently Jeeves said that once it was common knowledge on Google..... then the Trader changes his name, tactics and so on....

    NEVER?????

    Well thats simple then!:whistling:
