Dead pixels???

Hi there HUKDers;-) So i bought a 32 inch acoustic solutions lcd tv in the summer and it has just developed a fault with 2 dead pixels in the centre of the tv screen, i know it is a small problem but would i be able to take it back to argos for a refund or a replacement? i am gutted cos i love my tv but they also don't sell that tv anymore. It was £249. Any help is appreciated.

I remember having dead pixels on my PSP and GAME and Sony didn't care. So I doubt there's much you can do.

My laptop and both my big LCD TVs also have a couple of dead pixels knocking about on them, but you can barely see them. I guess you'll have to live with them - plus can you even see them when you're 5+ meters from the TV?

Argos are the best company for dealing with faulty items. As long as you have the receipt then you can return it at anytime within 1 year for a refund or exchange if the item develops a fault cause it's covered by their guarantee - furthermore 'Acoustic Solutions' are their own brand so they will be more than happy to sort it out for you!.

Lol if you say so.

They wouldnt accept my mikomi item back before, thats their brand too.

There also has to be a certain amount of dead pixels before they'll do anything, 2 is not enough i'm afraid.

This though no harm asking them, just say there are about 20 dead pixels randomly scattered about on the screen

Which they can easily check.

I'm just giving a textbook answer, no harm in trying - good luck.

Thats why you DON'T tell them its dead pixels!!! Tell them, it keeps turning itself off or something (if its faulty, its faulty - their not exactly going to check it!) - I've returned a TV to them twice before, both times were replaced (bearing in mind that one of the occassion, I had no receipt - only had the box!).

Theres no harm in trying ;-) !

try tapping them
