Debenhams online orders - returning to store - help needed!

I have made a few orders with Debenhams and have previously taken the items I don't want back to the store for a full refund, no problem. However, with my most recent order I took it back and they said that they could not do the refund as they don't stock the item.
I refuse to send anything back via the post as out of 3 parcels they have not refunded 2 of them automatically claiming they were never received and my proof of postage the only reason I managed to get the money back.

Online does not work for the link to store returns, can anyone tell me if they should take items back instore, I swear they used to say take anything back to the stores for a refund.

Not any more - I ordered the caserole and it was damagerd and asked if I could take back but they said not has to be returned I arranged for courier to pick it up but as yet (2 wks) not received any refund so keep an eye on it as well

Their customer service has always been shockingly appauling online, the stores (and great bargains) were the only reason I kept on buying things.

check your delivery note it should state where you can return the item - or give you details of who to contact to request a return
